A horror film for Thailand, shot on iPhone in low light.
Apple proved to Android-dominant Thailand that iPhone 13 Pro’s camera is best-in-class, even in low-light conditions, by tapping into Thailand’s superstitious nature to create the brand’s first-ever horror film.
Directed by acclaimed horror director, Parkpoom Wongpoom, Those That Follow drew on local spiritual beliefs of Phi Ta Khon or ghosts following people.
The story follows two teens on the run after a robbery goes wrong. They attempt to lay low at a local ghost mask festival, but soon learn that there’s no hiding from their sins, no matter what mask they wear.
We shot the entire film in low light settings, while demonstrating key product features. Resulting in a perfect blend of horror and Thai beliefs that proved what iPhone was truly capable of.
Alongside the horror short, we also shot a BTS film to capture the director, cinematographer and crew shooting with iPhone.
We took to the Sathorn Unique Tower or more iconically known as Bangkok's Ghost Tower, an abandoned skyscraper in the heart of the city, to announce the launch of the film.
On the large-scale billboard, eerie eyes behind the mask become visble when night falls.
We created ads that taught iPhone owners how to recreate moments from the film, using the phone's camera features.
