Unexpected darkness lurks behind this seemingly innocent series.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a dark coming-of-age tale about witchcraft and horror, and was set to launch in Malaysia, a nation with a penchant for the supernatural.
To show Malaysia that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was not for the faint-hearted, we introduced Malaysians to the unexpected darkness found in the series. With installations that held a surprise for those who got a little too close.
A chilling surprise for those who got a little too close.
Using motion sensors and hidden mirrors, we created a one-of-a kind installation. An innocuous, levitating cake lured unsuspecting people in, before proximity sensors triggered the reveal of the devil and a chilling rendition of Happy Birthday.
The installations were placed in Kuala Lumpur's 4 biggest malls, with multi-format trailers running on 20+ digital out-of-home screens.
Inspired by visuals from Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Visuals from the installation incorporated dark elements from the storyline: Sabrina's 16th birthday, a satanic demon, a trio of witches known as the Weird Sisters, a rotten apple, the blood moon and Salem, Sabrina's black cat.
